Camp Wonderopolis®
Next project
The 2014 Camp Wonderopolis™ was developed in collaboration with Bull & Beard for National Center for Families Learning. NCFL and Bull & Beard worked collaboratively to develop the overall concept (the “big idea”) and a strategic roadmap for this complex and fast-paced design and build.
The National Center for Families Learning (NCFL) is a non-profit organization based in Louisville, Kentucky that provides support and strategies to a network of entities involved in advancing education and families learning together, including educators, schools, community based organizations, and libraries. Their efforts support learners of all ages in these environments in concert with our advocates and partners. NCFL has multiple digital properties, each geared towards accomplishing their mission, including Wonderopolis.
Over the course of only six weeks, we built an elegant and engaging virtual summer camp and learning destination that packages tons of educational content in a fun, whimsical and rewarding way.
The site’s usable interface has impacted the analytics — traffic and engagement metrics more than exceeded goals and expectations.
Camp Wonderopolis™ is powered by Skippaz’ CMS, a powerfully simple content management system built on open source technologies that gives NCFL complete control and ownership of the mobile-responsive application.
The site is COPPA compliant and was featured on Good Morning America the day of launch.
